"Corio Ultimate Viktor" was born in 1996 and is the son of our champion stallion "Neva Tia Dartanyan" out of the palomino mare "Cobarb Ultimate".
"Corio Stud" has a very strong gelding policy and "Viktor" is only the second colt that we have deemed worthy to remain as such. The first was an Arabian stallion "Corio Serenus" who is still out competing today under saddle.
From the moment "Viktor" was born he had that special look at me presence about him and as he grew up to be so like his wonderful sire in both looks and temperament, the decision was made to keep him as a stallion in order to continue the "Dartanyan" line.
His first show was at 14 months of age at the Australian Stud Saddle Pony Victorian Championships where he won his yealing colt class and was placed Reserve Champion against a mature 3 year old colt. From his next 11 shows he won 20 firsts, 7 Championships and 6 Reserves. He also won the 1999 ASSPS Two Year Old Futurity.
He was only used on two mares for his first season at stud and produced a chestnut filly "Dresden Viktoria" from the mare "Sahri Park Honey Dew" and a bay gelding "Corio Jasper" from a Corio mare, "Glenelen Ambaura Dahana".
He is now standing at stud to outside mares, and from what he has already produced, a stunning grey gelding "Corio Li'l Joe", a beautiful chestnut filly "Corio Li'l Gem" from the mare "Galaxy Park Le Reve" and a lovely chestnut gelding "Corio Lexus" from the mare "Corio Naarah", we know he will live up to our hopes and carry on the brilliant temperament and "rideability" that people have come to expect from a "Corio" pony.
