"Danny" was the first Australian Stud Saddle Pony stallion to stand in Victoria. He arrived on his fourth birthday in 1977 and was bred by R & A Oma and Sons of Western Australia.
In 1980 "Danny" came to stand at stud at "Corio" and straight away our two boys (7 and 10 years old) bonded with him. His temperament was so outstanding that both boys did everything with him, from mustering cattle and sheep to swimming in the dam, one on his back, the other hanging onto his tail.
Since the inception of the ASSPS Victorian Two Year Old Futurity, his progeny have won six out of the ten events held. He is also the leading sire in the Sire's Progeny and Champion Foal classes. His great grandchildren are now competing in the ring with the same success that all of his progeny have had.
Now at the age of 33, he lives in retirement at "Corio" and no longer stands to outside mares.
